We’ve put together some budget-friendly ideas to give your home a little spring boost!

Make the porch a focal point. If you have a covered front porch or landing, create an instant pop of color with various container plants and a spot to relax with outdoor furniture for a conversation area.

Emphasize the front door. Add an accent color or a wreath to your front door to personalize your entryway. Choose a color that compliments your brick or siding. Go to Pinterest for inspiration! Search “front door” and you’ll see what we mean.

Plant green and floral life. Landscaping gives such boost to your home by using plant material to surround walkways or line the exterior features your home. Clump flowers in groupings and keep the higher plants to the back and layer in with smaller plants in the front. Perennials are a cost-effective plant to use…they come back each year.

Add some light. Landscape lighting provides such a beautiful effect to your home, giving highlight to pathways, trees and flags during evening hours. Solar lights are an affordable solution for this as well.

Freshen up the paint. Stand back for a street view of your home and take a look at your shutters, exterior trim and front door. If your exterior finishes need some TLC, repaint them and give your home an instant makeover.

Treat your lawn. Apply a fertilizer to nourish your yard or considering hiring an expert to diagnose any problems with grubs and weeds.

Repair your driveway. Winter’s constant freezing and thawing took a toll on driveways and sidewalks. Take time to patch and seal any holes or cracks.

Wash the exterior. Not only will you need to clean out gutters and winter’s debris from around the home, you may also need to power wash your siding, wood decks and concrete sidewalks to freshen up your home.
