There is a new home up for sale in Fiddler’s Green in Pendleton. It has one of the most spacious looking layouts that I have seen and makes the whole house feel open and airy. The home has vaulted ceilings and a loft that has a large look down opening over the great room. With four bedrooms and a gas log fireplace it offers a cozy feel even with an open floor plan. The master bedroom is located downstairs and boasts a large walk in closet and attached full bath with a whirlpool tub. This home is the equivalent to the modern day Brady Bunch dwelling and has a classic modern appearance. If you want to schedule a tour of this home please feel free to contact me as soon as possible! Want to do something good for your heart health? Go to Trails of Terror in Markleville this week! Yep you heard me right, going to the scariest outdoor haunted trail could not only be exciting and terrifying it can also benefit your overall health! Studies show that being scared causes your heart rate to speed as well as the subsequent release of adrenaline cause your heart rate and strength of contraction to increase, in order to supply your muscles with more oxygen and glucose. Your heart therefore gets a workout, just as it would if you went for a jog. And with this half mile trail through six acres of foggy breathtaking terror you are sure to achieve all the cardiovascular workout you need for the day. And lets face it if you are given the chance to run on a boring treadmill by yourself in a stuffy gym or enjoy a Halloween tradition with your friends or family the choice is obvious. So bring your running shoes because this Halloween destination will scare the socks right off of you.
I’ve mentioned before how much I like events that are fun and community based but that also benefit a great cause. Well this one fits the bill to a T. The title of this prom is called 65 Roses and will be held on November 10th at the gorgeous Blue Falls in Pendleton. This is an 18+ prom that will include a 3 course dinner, a prom picture, entertainment, and music for only $100 a couple, you can hardly go to dinner and a movie for that! And the best part is that all of the proceeds go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to find a cure! I don’t know about you but the prospect of getting a prom do-over is invigorating. Just think about it, a second chance at a prom free of 80’s bangs, high school cliques, and curfews! Not only is it an excuse to buy a new dress and get your nails done but it also benefits a pressing cause. So hire a babysitter and take your second chance at prom and give people a second chance at life.

In my line of work I am able to see, compare, take note of, and study all different types and styles of homes but I will have to say that this particular house is simply breathtaking. This all brick home is located in Hickory Hills East on a sprawling 1.76 acres. There is absolutely too many ammenities and luxuries to name but one I found to be not only exciting but extremely unique as well was the 2200 square foot finished gym attached to the home. There is also a home theater and a gourmet kitchen with two islands as well. This is of course on top of the 5 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, and 3 car attached garage. And while many of these homes you can get a feel for through descriptions and pictures this is one that you truly have to see to believe. It takes luxury to a whole new level while still allowing you to live in a tight knit, welcoming community. I’d love to show you around this spectacular home so feel free to call me to set something up! Listed by Christina Smith at Encore Sotheby`s.
I am going to talk about something that is near and dear to my heart and that is animal rescue. As many of you might already know I used to work at the Animal Protection League (formerly the Anderson Animal Care and Control) and still help in a rescue. Well this weekend there is a great fundraiser going on that helps benefit the APL and therefore helps save dogs and cats in and around our community. All you have to do to help and donate is go eat at Lone Star this Saturday or Sunday (Oct. 20th-21st). If you present this flier located on the APL website when you eat 15% of your total bill will automatically go to help support the animals in our shelter. Most of us go out to eat over the weekend anyways so why not make it doubly worth it! The animals in our community really do need our help and what better way than with a wonderful meal out! I hope to see all of you there!
(The dog in the picture is available for adoption! As well as many many more wonderful animals in search of a loving home)
