Indiana’s Housing Market Continuing to Rise

The Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of Realtors (MIBOR) revealed that the number of closed sales in the housing market in central Indiana has increased by 16.6% in a mere 3 month time span ending in July of 2012 when compared with the same three months in 2011.  In June alone the closed sales increased by 15.5% a staggering accomplishment taking into consideration the poor condition that the housing market has been plagued with lately.  The average median price for a single family home is up 5.3% for the quarter bringing it to $135,000.  With data like this continuing to come out it is clear that not only is it a good time to sell your home but a good time to buy as well.  If you wish to check out more data concerning not only Indiana but your particular county/area check here.  And as always feel free to contact me with any questions or requests to see homes!
